Sisters July and September are thick as thieves, though they couldn't be more different—September is protective and wary of others, while July is open and curious about the world. Their dynamic worries their single mother, Sheela, who struggles to manage them. When September is suspended from school, July is left to navigate the world on her own, slowly asserting her independence—a change that does not go unnoticed by September.

Ariane Labed's striking feature debut arrives in Haifa following its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. Labed presents a haunting drama that “captures the fragility of adolescence with precision and intimacy, brought to life by performances from Mia Tharia and Pascale Kann” (Screen).
