Ten-year-old Wo Tu dreams of having a water pistol like the other boys in his remote Chinese mountain village. Although his father promised to bring him one from the city, he fails to do so. However, Wo Tu's dying grandfather assures him that he will fulfill the wish as a ghost. After his grandfather's death, the old man visits the boy in his dreams, initiating a treasure hunt.

Veteran Chinese filmmaker Wang Xiaoshuai turns a tender and engaging story of a young boy's determined quest into a haunting parable of a disappearing rural China.
