When Daniel Bloch (Richard Gere), a wealthy New York bachelor, gets a phone call from an ex-girlfriend and meets with her, he learns that she gave birth to his son twenty years ago and that the boy has recently died in a car accident. Forced to evaluate his life choices, Daniel flies to a small Canadian town to try and get learn a little about his son.

Longing, Savi Gabizon’s English-language remake of his own 2017 Israeli hit film, is a drama with comic moments about parenthood, about the wish to become a parent and all it involves.
