Winner of the Best Screenplay Award - Berlin Film Festival
Tom Lunies is a Berlin conductor, currently working on a new composition that he will soon premiere at the Berlin Philharmonic. When his parents, who have long lived in their own bubble, begin to lose their independence due to their advanced age, Tom realizes that nothing lasts forever. Now, he, his parents, and his distant sister must learn to rediscover one another and perhaps, for the first time, confront all the things they have tried to escape.
Matthias Glasner skillfully crafts a complex and moving multi-character story where pain and laughter constantly intertwine. A smart, mesmerizing, personal, and deeply human creation that won the Best Screenplay Award at the most recent Berlin Festival.
