At the edge of the immense tropical forest on the island of Borneo where she lives, 11-year-old Kéria discovers an abandoned baby orangutan in her father's palm tree operation. As she cares for the young ape, her cousin Selaï seeks refuge with them to escape the conflict between his family and forestry companies. Together, the trio fights against the threat of destruction that looms over this ancestral forest. For Kéria, this battle also leads to the discovery of the truth about her own origins.
Following the worldwide success of My Life as a Courgette (Haifa IFF, 2016), Swiss filmmaker Claude Barras presents a deeply personal ecological fable, once again using his signature delightful stop-motion animation.
