Sundance 2023 - Alfred P. Sloan Award
In a not-so-distant future, New York couple Rachel and Alvy navigate a world where technology has made life increasingly convenient. Rachel, a rising tech company executive, lands a coveted spot at the Womb Center, which offers couples the convenience of shareable maternity via detachable artificial wombs, or pods. However, Alvy, a botanist with a deep connection to nature, prefers a natural pregnancy. But as Rachel's AI therapist questions, what truly is "natural"? Thus begins their tech-paved journey toward parenthood.
The Pod Generation is a sci-fi satire that presents “an amusing, only somewhat terrifying vision of the future” (IndieWire).
Filmography: Madame Bovary (2014), Cold Souls (2009).
