Florence is eager to introduce David, the man she's madly in love with, to her father, Guillaume. But David is no longer attracted to Florence and wants to push her towards his friend, Willy. The four of them meet at a restaurant in the middle of nowhere.

The Second Act, the Opening Film of the 2024 Cannes Festival, is the latest work from unique filmmaker Quentin Dupieux (Deerskin, 2019 Haifa IFF). Dupieux casts three of France's biggest film stars in this offbeat, chatty comedy—a film within a film about the future of filmmaking.

Filmography: Deerskin (2019), Reality (2014), Wrong Cops (2013), Wrong (2012).
