The new film by actor-director Gilles Lellouche comes to Haifa directly from the Official Competition at Cannes. Lellouche tells an epic tale of star-crossed lovers with a unique bland of spectacle, emotion, and electrifying action, casting as his modern-day Romeo and Juliet two of France’s hottest stars, Adèle Exarchopoulos and François Civil.

1980s. Northern France. Jackie and Clotaire grow up in the same town, at the same high school, around the same harbor docks. She studies, he bunks off. Then their paths cross, and they fall madly in love. Life tries its best to keep them apart, but they are like two halves of the same beating heart…

Filmography: Sink or Swim (2018).
