Rebeka and her young son Danny like to throw themselves into a world of stories and secrets. When her mother suddenly dies, Rebeka is intent on tracking down her estranged father. She takes Danny to the places she knew as a child, relating her dark recollections to him.
Bence Fliegauf’s new film has been described as evoking the enigmatic styles of Terrence Malick, Andrei Tarkovsky and the horror stories of old. Lily Lane blurs the lines between fantasy and reality while affirming the redemptive power of fairytales at their most grim.
Filmography: Just the Wind (2012), Womb (2010), Milky Way (2007), Dealer (2004), Forest (2003).
