Entre Ríos, a sparsely populated region of Argentina, is affected by a frost that spreads and burns the plants, turning them black. The farmers are in despair when a young woman arrives on the Lell brothers’ farm. Since the moment she arrives, the farm starts to recover mysteriously and rumor spreads among the locals that she is a saint.
Maximiliano Schonfeld’s second feature is inspired by the landscapes of his birth. The enigmatic film with its purple shades (a color locally associated with magic) tells a story of hope, nature and the changing times.
