Chehnaz and her husband live in a hip neighborhood in Istanbul. During the week Chehnaz completes her 2-year duty as an aspiring psychiatrist in a small, remote seaside town. At the weekend she is back in Istanbul. Everything changes when she meets Elmas, a young woman living in a a conservative, nearly tyrannical household.
Clair Obscur is a pensive and sensual study of the possibilities and limitations that exist for women in Turkey today.
