9-year-old Rauf lives in a rural village under the shadow of an invisible endless war. He is apprenticed to the local carpenter and falls in love with his daughter, the 20-year-old Zana. Zana has one request: When Rauf goes in to town, can he pick up some pink floral fabric? Rauf would do anything to make her smile, there’s one problem: He’s never consciously seen the color pink.
Baris Kaya and Soner Caner’s gently melancholic drama shows the Turkish-Kurdish conflict from a young boy's perspective and charts the boy’s passage out of innocence.
