Julie, a young, quietly ambitious film student, embarks on her first serious love affair with Anthony, a charismatic and mysterious man. It is Anthony who takes her to the Wallace Collection to see Fragonard’s painting The Souvenir. She tries to disentangle fact from fiction as she surrenders to the relationship, a relationship which comes dangerously close to destroying her dreams.
Honor Swinton-Byrne and Tom Burke give piercing performances in British auteur Joanna Hogg's brilliant new drama, based on Hogg’s real-life experiences. Tilda Swinton plays Julie’s generous mother.
