Mária, an elderly woman living in Hungary, receives an unexpected letter in the mail. She collapses and falls into a coma. Her daughter Olga, a successful attorney living in Vienna, returns home to visit and comes across a deliberately withheld secret. The investigation takes Olga back to the war-torn Europe of the 1950s.
