Three tales span three different eras and places: In Ancient Egypt, a young king becomes the first black pharaoh to deserve the hand of his loved one. During the French Middle Ages, a mysterious wild boy steals from the rich to give to the poor. In 18th century Turkey, a prince of pastries and a princess of roses escape the palace to live their love.

Michel Ocelot, the legendary French animation master, takes us on an adventure inspired by fairy tales and folk legends. The visually exquisite animation film is filled with history, stories of derring-do and of romance triumphing against the odds.

Filmography: Dilili in Paris (2018), Azur & Asmar: The Princes' Quest (2006), Princes and Princesses (2000), Kirikou and the Sorceress (1998).
