Julio César is almost forty years old and still lives with his mother, a former cocaine mule who was forced to leave Colombia while pregnant with Julio. The two share practically everything: a small house on the river, the little money earned working for a drug dealer in the area, a passion for salsa and merengue evenings. It is a loving, intense and oppressive relationship, and it spirals when a young Colombian mule, Inés, enters their lives.
El Paraíso comes to Haifa from its world premiere at the Venice Festival. The strong and surprising drama, a search for roots and redemption, centers on a powerful performance by Edoardo Pesce (Dogman).
